Welcome to PortHuronFloatDown.com the official site of the 2nd annual Reunion Float Down, sponsored by the volunteers of the River Rat Society.
This years float down is on Sunday August 16, and will start at 1 p.m. from Lighthouse Park beach in Port Huron, MI. There will be a 12 p.m. safety orientation prior to the start of the event. The float down ends at Chrysler Beach in Marysville, MI .
Each person is required to have a life jacket to participate in this event. The course is 8 miles in length, floaters should expect to be out on the water approximately 3½ to 4 hours, so come prepared and plan your day accordingly.
For all participants safety, in the event of severe weather an announcement will be made prior to the 1 p.m. start time and the float down will be called off. No rain date is scheduled for the float down at this time.
